Rockwell Automation Distributor: Authorization and Support Scope

Updated

Check a Rockwell Automation distributor’s authorization, territory and support scope. Prepare the seller, product and contract questions before ordering.

To verify a Rockwell Automation distributor, start with the Authorized Distributor Locator and record the seller and buying location. Rockwell tells buyers to always validate the source independently using its partner locators or local office. Then match the quoted products to the proposed support agreement.

Use this guide to prepare an Allen-Bradley authorized distributor check before approving a quotation. Work through the seller, territory, warranty and support questions below, then save the answers with your purchasing records. For the broader directory, browse IT distribution.

Check the seller in the correct partner locator

Rockwell provides an Authorized Distributor Locator.

Rockwell provides a separate System Integrator Locator.

Use the distributor verification guide alongside this brand check. For a Rockwell Automation partner check, choose the Authorized Distributor route and match the legal entity and branch address on your quotation against our verified directory record and the manufacturer's locator.

Each local distributor is authorized in a specific geographic territory.

Review directory evidence labels when reading a listing. When you submit a supplier verification or sourcing brief to DistributorIndex, include both the purchasing office and the end-user plant location so we can confirm territory coverage, entity match and product scope in writing.

Separate local assistance from contracted support

Local distributor product specialists provide technical assistance.

Local authorized distributor staff have access to factory training.

Start your shortlist with how to find a distributor and the distributor directory. In each DistributorIndex supplier review, we separate first-line distributor application support from contracted manufacturer support escalations and itemize any training or on-site commissioning scope on the quotation.

TechConnect Support may be required for some online features or phone support.

TechConnectIQ provides off-site assistance for diagnosing and resolving industrial automation equipment and system issues.

For a support purchase, record the program name, tier, covered products, site, coverage period, hours and language. Keep the agreed scope beside the hardware and software order.

Check warranty and software rights before buying

Products purchased from an unauthorized source are not eligible for Rockwell Automation warranty coverage.

Products purchased from unauthorized sources do not come with licenses for Rockwell Automation firmware and software use.

Before approving an order, we verify that the quotation specifies factory-authorized warranty coverage, software/firmware licensing rights and documented channel provenance, keeping the quotation, source confirmation and purchase order records linked together.

If questions arise about hardware authenticity or authorized provenance, the local authorized distributor or Rockwell sales office can engage Brand Protection to validate serial numbers and supply-chain origin.

For a separate Schneider purchase, use the Schneider Electric authorization guide. For a registration warranty extension, check the following eligibility conditions against the purchase.

Plain component cartons and packing paperwork on an industrial receiving bench
Keep the source confirmation with the purchase and receiving paperwork.

Products with an expired standard Rockwell Automation warranty are ineligible for the registration warranty-extension program.

Products already covered by extended warranty agreements are not eligible for a further extension under this program.

Rockwell may deny or revoke a warranty extension if end-user location information is not disclosed during registration.

Match support coverage to the ordered products

Customers will only receive entitlements based on the product/software listed on their contract.

After selecting a TechConnectIQ support level, specify the product families to be covered.

We cross-check each ordered hardware catalog family and software package against the support contract schedule so no control, HMI, or safety line item is left uncovered.
