How to verify a distributor listing
Read the relationship label, open the stored source, and check the review date before treating a listing as current.
What you can check on this site
A listing can only be checked against what we stored: the company website, the markets and categories attached to it, the brand-relationship label, any source URL, and the last review date. Start from the distributor directory or from a hub such as Hikvision or distributors in France.
The public methodology is on How we verify listings. This guide is the practical sequence. It is not a certification process, and we do not certify companies.
Read the label before you read the company name
The same company can appear next to different labels on different brands. Official, source-supported, and unverified labels maps each badge to the evidence we recorded.
A logo on a supplier website is not authorization. If the label is empty or unknown, treat the row as a lead to investigate, not as a channel confirmation.
Open the stored source
If the listing shows a source URL, open it in a new tab and confirm the company still appears on that page. If the URL is a brand-owned distributor finder, that is stronger than a third-party mention. If there is no URL, the listing is still a research record, just one you cannot re-check from here.
On combination pages such as Hikvision in the UAE, the Sources block lists the URLs attached to the companies on that page. Use those links, then return to the profile if you need the full record.
Check the date and what is missing
A Last verified date means we recorded a review at that time. It does not mean the relationship is still current. If the date is missing, the listing was published without a stored review stamp.
If you find an error, use the correction path on How we verify listings. For what a published row is allowed to mean, see What a listing on this directory means.
