DistributorIndex is a manufacturer. Our brand, country and industry resources also retain attributed records about third-party companies. Their channel relationships and OEM policies belong to the named organisations; our own supply scope is defined in the project proposal.

Start with the brand and installation destination

Open the brand directory and country directory to narrow the search. Distinguish the seller’s office, stock location, destination port and final installation site; these can be in different countries.

Review the regional product variant

Match the complete part number and regional suffix to the OEM documentation. Review the selected model’s electrical supply, wireless operating region, language, interfaces and software entitlement against the site. Country names alone do not establish technical compatibility.

Define delivery responsibilities at the named place

The U.S. International Trade Administration’s Incoterms guidance explains their role in allocating delivery tasks, costs and risks. State the chosen rule, named place and edition in the agreement. Separately define payment, title, installation and warranty terms.

Calculate landed cost with project inputs

Planning formula: landed cost = equipment + packing + freight + insurance + applicable import charges + destination handling. Assign each line to the party responsible under the chosen delivery terms.

Hypothetical example: assume equipment costs $5,000, freight $700 and destination handling $300, with import charges budgeted separately. These listed items total $6,000 before the separate charges. These are illustrative inputs, not a quotation or tariff estimate.

Review destination documents and service

Identify applicable product and import requirements with the responsible destination adviser. Request documents for the actual model and shipment. Agree who will unload, install, commission and maintain the equipment, including language and spare-part arrangements.

Send a destination-specific quotation brief

Include the final site and proposed delivery point so local and cross-border quotes can be compared on the same scope.
